Progressive Restaurants

Nick Davis is the President of Progressive Restaurants, Inc. and PRI Miami LLC and majority shareholder. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Auburn University (1984).

Upon graduation, Nick joined Taco Bell Corporation as a Manager Trainee serving for seven years in positions of increasing responsibility including operational and financial turnarounds of critical markets including Atlanta, Birmingham, Jackson, MS and Charleston, SC. In 1991, Nick joined WenSouth Corporation, a 46 restaurant Wendy's franchisee as a Regional Director. His responsibilities included Marketing, Capital Spending and Employee Motivation for the entire Corporation. Nick is a founding partner of Progressive Restaurants, Inc. and purchased the first 14 restaurants on October 1, 1997.

Nick has also been active in the communities in which he has lived including serving on the Board of Directors for the Greater Tallahassee Advertising Federation, President of the Tallahassee Auburn Club and as a Board Member of the National Auburn University Alumni Association.

Bill King serves as our Vice President Operations and is a partner in The Progressive Companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and is a 32 year veteran of the restaurant industry.

Bill’s career began back in 1975 with the Friendly’s Ice Cream Corporation. In 1984 he became a franchisee, owner/operator of Central Alabama Foods which comprised of 11 fast food restaurants throughout Alabama. He has been with the Taco Bell brand for 10 years. His professional background includes extensive experience in the areas of development and growth of concepts, strategic business planning, internal controls along with human resource management. Bill's commitment to hospitality and customer service has resulted in a guest based, results oriented culture at The Progressive Companies. He enjoys traveling with his wife Sharon and their two daughters Brittany and Lauryn.

Betsy Guynn is the Vice President of Human Resources, Training and Development. Betsy’s experience includes human resource management in the areas of recruitment, employee relations and the development and creation of internal training programs.

A native of Alachua County, Betsy’s civic involvement includes Leadership Gainesville Alumni Association, North Central Florida Society for Human Resource Management and our local Chamber of Commerce. Past board positions include The Junior League of Gainesville, Keep Alachua County Beautiful and The Volunteer Center. Betsy holds the designation of Professional in Human Resources or PHR.
